Sport Development & Maintenance, ("S.D.M") respects your privacy and is committed to protect the personal information that you share with us. Generally, we have designed our website so that you can find information about our products and services without giving us any information about yourself. When we do need your personal information to provide services that you request or when you choose to provide us with your personal information, this policy describes how we collect and use your personal information. Notice
We will always give you the opportunity to "opt out" of receiving direct marketing or market research information. Cookies and Tracking Technology
A cookie is a small data file that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other Sites. Some parts of Star Trac’s Site use cookies to track user traffic patterns. We do this in order to determine the usefulness of our Site information to our users and to see how effective our navigational structure is in helping users reach that information.

You can also refuse all cookies by turning them off in your browser, although you may not be able to utilize all of the features of S.D.M’s Site if you do so. You do not need to have cookies turned on to utilize/browse the Site, except to access certain web pages that require a login and password.
Cookies and the Shopping Basket
The shopping basket (used only for buying Star Trac Fitness products or accessories) requires that your browser has cookies enabled.
The shopping basket cookies store your name, address, contact details and chosen items - NO financial data is stored. If you do not allow cookies, or your network administrator has disabled them, you will not be able to use the shopping basket. Our Site contains information specifying other ways of completing your order in the event that you cannot enable cookies or do not want to complete your transaction online.
Cookies from the shopping basket are automatically deleted from your computer at the end of your browser session. If you are concerned about the contents of the cookies, please close all your browser windows before leaving the Site. This will delete the data they hold. You can also delete all www.startracusa.com cookies by clicking the 'empty shopping basket' button on the shopping basket page. All cookies are automatically deleted when you complete your order.
Use of Web Beacons
The Site may also utilize web beacons. Web beacons are small elements, usually single pixel gifs, embedded on web pages. These beacons may be used to assist with the delivery of personalized information and/or web content. They may also assist us with tracking visitors to the site and tailor the site based on metrics collected by the beacon. Web beacons may also be utilized in outbound e-mail messages and/or newsletters to track delivery, opening, and click-through of the outbound message.
The Site may employ web beacons from third party providers for the purpose of collecting metrics and statistics. This data is used to evaluate the performance of the site and the effectiveness of the content we present to our users. In no way is the information collected from Web beacons ever cross-referenced with personally identifiable data.
How We Use Information We Collect
S.D.M uses information for several general purposes: to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, to personalize your experience on our Site, to keep you up to date on the latest product announcements, software updates, special offers or other information we think you'd like to hear about either from us or from our business partners, and to better understand your needs and provide you with better services. Because S.D.M is a global company, your personal information may be shared with other S.D.M offices, subsidiaries and affilliated companies around the world. Your personal information is never shared outside S.D.M without your permission, except under conditions explained below. Inside S.D.M, data is stored in controlled servers with limited access. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country where S.D.M, its subsidiaries, affiliates or agents are located. S.DM may send your personal information to other companies or people under any of the following circumstances: when we have your consent to share the information; we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf o f S.D.M to provide a product or service to you (we will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose); or we want to keep you up to date on the latest product announcements, software updates, special offers or other information we think you'd like to hear about either from us or from our business partners (unless you have opted out of these types of communications). We will also disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or in urgent circumstances, to protect personal safety, the public or our Site.
Children and Privacy
The Site does not target nor is it intended for children under the age of 13. S.D.M does not knowingly solicit information from children under the age of 13.
Third Party Sites
The Site contains links to other sites. S.D.M does not share your personal information with those websites and is not responsible for their privacy practices. Some of these third-party sites may be co-branded with a S.D.M logo, even though they are not operated or maintained by S.D.M. Once you have left our Site, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party website to determine how they will handle any information they collect from you. S.D.M does not control, and is not responsible for, the content or privacy policies on, or the security of, such sites. Without limiting the foregoing, S.D.M specifically disclaims any responsibility if such sites:

S.D.M will amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will make that information available by posting a notice on this Site.
